Details
Advanced B Complex ULTRA is AOR’s best B complex yet. It is based on Advanced B Complex, our award-winning favourite, but with even better absorption and additional benefits for heart health, brain health, and energy. Advanced B Complex ULTRA utilizes time-release technology to enhance absorption, and provides the full spectrum of B vitamins, some of them in multiple forms, for superior efficacy in the body.
Advanced B Complex ULTRA is formulated with niacin, the most active form of vitamin B3, and the most effective for heart health and cholesterol. It contains a safe dose of slow-release niacin to minimize the sensation of “flushing”. Advanced B Complex ULTRA is unique in that it also contains Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ), a B-vitamin-like nutrient that helps support brain health.
Advanced B Complex ULTRA is perfect for anyone looking to get beyond the standard benefits of B vitamins.

Discussion
Advanced B Complex Ultra provides the most active forms of B vitamins in clinically-supported doses and in ratios that the body can utilize, in a time-release formula, for optimal results. With the addition of antioxidant PQQ. These nutrients help metabolize carbohydrates, proteins and fats for energy and support tissue and red blood cell formation.

AOR Advantage
Advanced B Complex ULTRA is the most cutting edge and effective B complex available on the market. It offers unique and active forms of B vitamins which have additional health benefits not usually included with B-complex supplements. For example, niacin is more effective for supporting heart health than synthetic B6.
PQQ is a B-vitamin-like nutrient and antioxidant which has been shown to reduce oxidative damage and inflammation as well as improve mitochondrial function. Finally, Advanced B Complex Ultra provides three important forms of vitamin B12: Methylcobalamin, cobamamide, and hydroxocobalamin, each of which has an important function.

Research Facts
A study by Stough et al (2011) investigated the role of B vitamins on mood and psychological strain associated with chronic work stress. Sixty participants completed a 3-month, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial in which personality, work demands, mood, anxiety, and strain were assessed. After 3 months of supplementation with two forms of high-dose vitamin B-complexes, treatment groups reported significantly lower personal strain and a reduction in confusion and depressed/dejected mood.
In a human study conducted by Harris et al (2013), researchers looked at the effects of pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) on inflammatory and antioxidant pathways. Although this was a small study conducted in only 10 subjects, researchers found that treatment with PQQ led to serum reductions in inflammatory cytokines (cellular messengers), and reduced C-reactive protein levels (CRP is a marker of inflammation that can be tested for in the blood) by about 45%. Researchers also reported findings of increased efficiency of the mitochondria in these subjects (remember, the mitochondria are the “power-houses” of our cells).
Niacin has been long recognized for its ability to improve cholesterol levels, however, the side effect of flushing often deters people from using it. In a 2013 blinded, placebo-controlled study, researcher Dr. Joseph Keenan found that using an extended-release niacin was much better tolerated among patients. Treating patients who had mild-to-moderate abnormalities in cholesterol levels (high LDL or “bad” cholesterol) for 6 weeks with this extended-release niacin led to significant improvements in cholesterol levels. Total cholesterol decreased by 11%, LDL levels decreased by 18%, and HDL (“good” cholesterol) levels increased by 12%.
